As part of the development of its activities in West Africa, Helios Construction is searching for a Civil Engineer or equivalent (H/F).

Tasks and responsibilities

The Civil Engineer (M/F) will be responsible for the:

Engineering design and calculation of buildings, roads, rural trails, engineering works and various infrastructure (hydro-agricultural development, drinking water supply, dams, etc.),
Manage the construction and site works,
Participation in site visits and project/site meetings,
Performing of any other tasks requested by the Director.

Place of employment: Ouagadougou with travel in rural areas, and in the West African sub-region.

Nature of contract: one (1) year contract renewable based on annual performance.

Job requirements:

An engineering degree (or Master’s degree) in Civil Engineering, Public Works or equivalent, preferably with additional business school degree or management training,
Have a minimum of two to three years of general civil engineering experience,
Be motivated to support an EPC contractor at its development phase,
Technical proficiency in the design / calculation of buildings, roads, tracks and other infrastructure projects,
Good technical skills in construction of buildings, roads, tracks and other infrastructure projects,
Good knowledge of tendering and proposals for buildings, roads, tracks and various infrastructure,
Have commercial fibre to effectively participate in business development and sales,
Good knowledge of at least one structural calculation software: Robot, Arche,
Good knowledge of at least CAD software: Autocad, Archicad,
Good knowledge of at least CAD software: Piste or Covadis,
The knowledge of software for potable water supply systems design would be a plus,
Be available within a relatively short period of time,
Holding a Class B or C driver’s license would be an asset.
